Youth Shadow Assembly is a structured youth leadership and civic learning programme that gives young people an opportunity to understand democratic institutions, public policy, debate, negotiation and leadership through a simulated legislative process.

Problem
- Young people have few hands-on ways to experience how democratic institutions and public policy work.
- District-level issues rarely reach a platform where young people can raise and debate them.

Our Intervention
- A three-day, state-level simulated legislature. District-wise youth representatives take the roles of Chief Minister, Ministers, Speaker, Leader of the Opposition and Legislators.

- Youth aged 18–29
- Students, youth leaders, social workers and young professionals
- Selected by application, debate, interview or nomination, with gender balance and representation of marginalised groups
